Never use FedEx Home

FedEx Home is extremely poor
Never use FedEx Home for sending any packages. It is the worst package service that I have ever encountered. FedEx sub-contracts it out to independent contractors and it has absolutely no control over the tracking of the package or any committment it makes to the customer.
I was expecting a package (Door Tag # DT 7510 7129 7858) to be delivered to my home on a Thursday. Since I knew that I cannot be at home on Thursday I called FedEx that could they hold my package or re-route the package to my office address:
Pain #1: No re-routing available on the FedEx Home service. I could understand this being an economical version of FedEx might not have that functionality
Pain #2: My request to hold the package could not be entertained until 24-48 hours has passed because the packages are given to independent contractors and they have no way to connect to them
Pain # 3: I called repeatedly (6 times) on Friday and Saturday to find whether the package has been held at their facility (15miles from my address) and everytime the answer was that it is not there. We cannot guarantee we when will it be there
Pain #4: We do not work on Sunday and Monday. My package that was supposed to be delivered on Thursday will need to be collected 15 miles from my place only next Tuesday, IF I AM LUCKY

Everytime I called FedEx I would learn a new factoid about this FedEx Home service. Please use USPS or a UPS Ground service but never never FedEx Home. It sucks!!
